Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Dip On Weak Trend

New Delhi: Copper futures on Thursday fell 0.45 per cent to Rs 896.20 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery eased by Rs 4.05 or 0.45 per cent to Rs 896.20 per kg in a business turnover of 2,648 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on low demand
Aluminium prices on Thursday slipped Rs 1.15 to Rs 263.95 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in April fell Rs 1.15 or 0.43 per cent to Rs 263.95 per kg in 929 lots.
Zinc futures decline on low bets
Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.05 per cent to Rs 278.05 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded by 15 paise or 0.05 per cent lower at Rs 278.05 per kg in 456 lots.
